On 20 April, Ambassador of Serbia to Belgium Marina Jovicevic inaugurated the exhibition "Ivo Andric - between the writer and diplomat", at European college in Bruges and spoke about the diplomatic efforts of our writer.

"Ivo Andric best represents what Europe is about, as he lived and worked across Europe in a challenging period between the two world wars, and he portrayed in the best way the multi-religious and multi-ethnic context of our region in his books", Jovicevic said.



The Embassy aims to have a wider public, not just diplomats, see the exhibition, targeting university students in Belgium in the first place. The exhibition is planned to be on display in Antwerp in the upcoming months, in cooperation with the local University there.



Following the exhibition's opening, a panel discussion on the challenges of the EU integration path was held, attended by Ms. Tanja Miscevic, Head of the Negotiating Team for the EU accession of Serbia. The panel was also attended by academics and students of the European College.
