altAmbassador of Serbia to Belgium Marina Jovicevic delivered an address at the opening of the Balkan Trafik Festival (19-22 April), at which the Serbian KUD (Cultural and Art Association) "Izvor" from Paris, performed Serbian national dance (Kolo) on the central Brussels square Grand Place. Ambassador Jovicevic said that the traditional Serbian dance was performed both in rural and urban areas and that Kolo, in addition to the Serbian Slava, was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

KUD "Izvor" closed the festival with the joint performance of Kolo and numerous visitors, prior to which they performed a set of dances from Kosovo and Metohija.

The Festival, sponsored by NIS, was participated by a large number of performers from the Balkans but from other regions as well, who played music from that region. The urban section was, among others, presented by promoters of graffiti or "Street Art Belgrade" from Belgrade and also by Svetlana Spajic, performer of ethno Serbian songs and a rap musician Marcello, who took part in the roundtable on regional cooperation.
