President of Ethiopia Mulatu Teshome Wirtu received Ambassador of Serbia Dragan Mraovic in a farewell visit that was given wide publicity in Ethiopia uncommon for a departing Ambassador of a small country.

The report on the talks between the President and the Serbian Ambassador was published as front- page news in the daily "Ethiopian Herald", quoting President Teshome as saying that he appreciated the role played by the departing Ambassador in strengthening the ties between the two countries.

News Agency ENA posted the news on its website about the reception of our Ambassador by the Ethiopian President, underlying that Serbia and Ethiopia, which have had a long-standing tradition of good relations, should focus on strengthening economic cooperation through trade and investment.
