altOn 16 March, African Cultural Institute in Oslo hosted an evening of the Balkan and Baltic folk dances as a segment of the traditional annual Festival of Francophonie, organized by the Embassies of Serbia, Bulgaria and Latvia in cooperation with the French Institute.

In view of the fact that Serbia was granted an observer status in the International Organization of La Francophonie in 2006, our Embassy actively participated in this event as a cultural program coordinator.

In an evening devoted to the Balkan and Baltic folk dances, a folk club from Serb association "Ras" in Oslo, Bulgarian folk dance group "I-Ha" and Latvian group "Ziemelmeita" presented cultural heritage of their countries through dance and song performances. A section of humanitarian organization "Serbs for the Serbs" presented Serbia through Emir Kusturica film music.
