Nairobi: Marking 55th anniversary of Serbia’s diplomatic relations with Kenya and Uganda

altAt a reception held at the Serbian Embassy in Nairobi on the occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, Ambassador of Serbia in Kenya Dragan Županjevac spoke about the 55th anniversary of Serbia's diplomatic relations with Uganda and Kenya.

The guest of honour, Director of the Foreign Service Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Kenya Simon Nabukwesi addressed those present, speaking about the traditional friendship between Serbia and Kenya. The world-famous Kenyan choir Nairobi Chamber Chorus attracted special attention at the reception with its rendition of the Serbian national anthem Bože pravde and Ajde Jano in the Serbian langauage.




In addition to high representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kenya, MPs and business people, numerous Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls, including the Honorary Consul of Serbia in Uganda Jovan Latinčić, as well as members of the Serbian diaspora in Kenya all attended the reception.
