Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Jasminko Pozderac met on 6 February with the Chairman of the Advisory Council Al-Mahmoud. Dailies "Qatar Tribune" and "Gulf Times" published photos from the meeting.

Ambassador Pozderac congratulated Al-Mahmoud on his appointment as Chairman of the Advisory Council and conveyed the interest to further promote parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, inviting him to visit Serbia. The Ambassador indicated that parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Qatar was developing successfully and recalled the visit of President of the National Assembly of Serbia Maja Gojkovic in May 2017 and the visit of the Friendship Parliamentary Group with the State of Qatar in November 2017.

Chairman of the Advisory Council Al-Mahmoud emphasized that the cooperation with Serbia was held in high esteem in Qatar and that the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries contributed to the overall development of bilateral relations.
