Nairobi: Ambassador Zupanjevac gave lecture on Serbian history

altAmbassador of Serbia to Kenya, Dragan Zupanjevac, gave a lecture on the history of Serbia and its bilateral relations with Kenya, to an 18-member group of the Young Diplomats of Kenya association, who visited the Serbian Embassy.

Young Kenyan diplomats were particularly interested in the role played by Serbia in the creation of former Yugoslavia, cooperation between Kenya and Yugoslavia within the Non-Aligned Movement as well as in the current level of their bilateral relations and cooperation. They were also interested in Serbia's relations with its neighbors, EU integration perspective, the issue of Kosovo and Metohija and development of bilateral relations with the great powers, China in particular.

The Ambassador also spoke with the Director of the Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies of the University of Nairobi, Ms. Maria Nzomo, the first woman in Kenya to obtain a PhD degree in social sciences and whose articles on separatism, secession and self-determination were published in "Daily Nation" newspaper. Among other things, she also addressed the issue of unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo
