A book "Serbia in Egyptian Eyes – Diplomatic Memories and Cultural Memoirs" was presented on 17 January 2018 at the Diplomatic Club in Cairo. The event was co-organized by the Managing Board of the Egyptian Diplomatic Club and the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, at the initiative of the Embassy of Serbia in Cairo.

A group of authors composed of former Egypt's Ambassadors to Yugoslavia and to Serbia including Hussein Hassouna, Hani Khallaf, Ashraf Aql, Bassem Khalil, Adel Naguib, Ali Galal Bassyouni, Menha Bakhoum and Ezzeddin Fahmi spoke about the book, which consists of two parts: "Diplomatic Memories" and "Serbia by Egyptian Pens". The audience was also addressed by Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian archeologist who visited Serbia, Gamal Zaida, author of a book titled "Egypt in Serbia", Professor Mervat Al-Suweifi and Ibrahim Ghazala, a painter, while Egypt's Ambassador to Serbia Amr Aljowaily moderated the programme.
