The humanitarian fund "Stephen's Children" presented to the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Cairo, H.E. Mr. Dragan Bisenic, an annual award for the help provided to impoverished children.

"Stephen's Children" is the leading Egyptian humanitarian organization managing a network of kindergartens, schools and other institutions helping impoverished and abandoned children. In 2012, the fund headed by nun Maggie Gobran was, together with the EU, shortlisted for Nobel Peace Prize.

In addition to the Serbian Ambassador, the 2016 award was also given to the UK Ambassador in Cairo, Sir John Casson.

Ambassador Bisenic has personally, within the limits of his abilities, every year since 2012 provided assistance to the kindergarten in Cairo's impoverished suburb of Mokattam.
