Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Sofia, Vladimir Curgus and EA Aleksandar Milicevic visited the Fair on 2 October, along with representatives of the "Free Zone Pirot", to promote the free zone at the Fair. On this occasion they had a meeting with Director of the Plovdiv Fair Ivan Sokolov.
The Fair covered a wide array of products so that it gathered companies involved in car making, manufacturing, construction, chemicals, food, electrical, computer and machining industries. This year's fair has presented 1,030 companies from 43 countries.
The Russian Federation, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey and China had their national stands. Two Serbian companies (Zajecar Measuring Transformers Factory and Madeira Kragujevac) were among the exhibitors.
