Political relations:

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic visited Burundi (14 and 15 February 2018). The return visit by the Foreign Minister of Burundi took place in the period from 31 March to 4 April 2018.
On 15 February 2018, Burundi revoked its recognition of the unilateral declaration of independence of "Kosovo", from October 2012.

Economic relations:

In 2017, there were no exports from Serbia, while imports amounted to EUR 192,000.
