Political relations:
Permanent representatives of the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations singed a Protocol on establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries on 17 April 2013, in New York. Opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Riyadh and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Belgrade will take place in the forthcoming period.
Visits
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic paid a visit to Riyadh on 5-6 May 2013.
Economic relations:
From January to August 2013, Serbian exports amounted to € 2.4 million, and imports to € 5.6 million.
