- Foreign Minister I. Mrkic attended, as part of the Serbian delegation headed by President T. Nikolic, the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC)-EU, 26-27 January 2013 in Santiago, on which occasion he met with President J. Mujica.
- Then MFA V. Jeremic visited Uruguay in June 2011.
- MFA of Uruguay L. Almagro visited Serbia in December 2010.
Economic relations:
In 2015, exports amounted to EUR 241 thousand, and imports to EUR 794 thousand. In the period from January to September 2016, exports were EUR 248 thousand, and imports EUR 171 thousand.
