- FDPM and MFA I. Dačić met MFA of Republic of Malta Carmelo Abela on the margins of the OSCE Mediterranean Conference held in Palermo on 24 October 2017.
- Malta's PM J. Muscat visited the Republic of Serbia, and he met with PM A. Vucic on 9 January 2016.
- Malta's MFA G. Vella met with the FDPM and MFA I. Dacic on 4 December 2015, in the margins of the 22nd OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Belgrade.
Economic relations:
The economic cooperation between R. Serbia and R. Malta is fairly modest and largely carried out through trade in goods. In 2017, the total trade in goods amounted to EUR 26.5 million, of which Serbian exports amounted to EUR 1.1 million and imports to EUR 25.4 million.
For the first eleven months of 2017, the total trade exchange amounted to 25.7 mil. EUR, out of which 947.000 euros of our exports and 24.76 mil. euro of imports. In 2016, the total trade of goods was worth cca EUR 8.7 million (exports to Malta amounted to EUR 3 million and imports to Serbia EUR 5.7 million).
During 2015, exports to Malta amounted to EUR 5.8 million, and imports to the Republic of Serbia were worth EUR 7.8 million. The total trade in goods was worth EUR 13.6 million in 2015. The exports to the Republic of Malta were worth EUR 803 thousand in 2014, and imports to the Republic of Serbia stood at EUR 4.5 million. The total trade in goods was worth EUR 5.35 million in 2014.
