Political relations:

On 5 April 2018, a round of regular bilateral political consultations was held in Bali between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, when the Serbian delegation was headed by Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Bilateral Cooperation Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili, and the Indonesian by Director-General for American and European Affairs Muhammad Anshor.

In 2013 (17-20 March) National Assembly Speaker N. Stefanovic visited Indonesia at the invitation of Speaker of the People's Representative Council Marzili Alie.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia M. Natalegawa on the fringes of the XVI NAM Summit in Tehran, in August 2012.

Minister M. Natalegawa was Head of the Delegation of Indonesia at the Commemorative Ministerial Meeting of NAM in Belgrade, in September 2011. In May 2011 former Foreign Minister V. Jeremic was invited by Foreign Minister M. Natalegawa and participated in the NAM Ministerial Meeting in Bali.
Former Foreign Minister V. Jeremic visited Indonesia in February 2011 and March 2008.

Economic relations:

In 2017, trade in goods amounting to EUR 53,9 million was recorded, of which exports from the RS amounted to EUR 4,6 million, and imports from Indonesia to EUR 49,3 million.

In 2016, the trade in goods amounted to EUR 45.1 million, the exports from Serbia amounting to EUR 8.7 million and imports to EUR 36.4 million. 

Investments: Indonesian company Indofood in 2016 opened a noodle factory in Indjija, thus investing EUR 11 million and creating approximately 200 new jobs. In 2016, Bawazir Group, the leading Indonesian producer of mushrooms, opened a mushroom production and processing factory, making an investment amounting to EUR 9.5 million, ensuring creation of approximately 120 jobs so far, with prospects for this number to expand significantly.
