Date of establishing diplomatic relations: Uninterrupted diplomatic relations with the Republic of Cyprus have existed since 1960 when SFR Yugoslavia established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Cyprus after it declared independence.


 Political relations:

Visits
- Former Minister of Foreign Affairs V. Jeremic visited the Republic of Cyprus in November 2009
- Former President B. Tadic visited Cyprus in October 2010
- Former Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic visited Cyprus in June 2011
- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus E. K. Marcoullis visited Serbia for the first time on 11 July 2012 in her capacity as Chair of the EU
- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic visited the Republic of Cyprus on 6/8 August 2012, which was his first bilateral visit since taking office
- Prime Minister and Minister of Interior I. Dacic paid a visit to Cyprus on 7 December 2012
- First Serbia-Cyprus Summit was held in Belgrade on 30 January 2013. The Cypriot delegation was headed by the then President D. Christophias


Economic relations:

In January–November 2012 period, exports amounted to EUR 74.6 million and imports to EUR 3.4 million. The basis of economic relations is significant investments in the Republic of Serbia exceeding EUR 200 million, invested especially in the banking sector.
