Visits and meetings in 2018:
- President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić was on an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria on 23 February 2018.
- The third quadrilateral meeting of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Greece was held on 24 April 2018 in Bucharest.
Visits and meetings in 2017:
- The second quadrilateral meeting between President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Hellenic Republic and Romania was held in Belgrade, between 8 and 9 December 2017. The first meeting in the same format was held on 3 October 2017, in Varna (Republic of Bulgaria).
- Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić was on a working visit to Sofia between 6 and 7 December 2017, when she met Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov.
- Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Dimitar Glavchev was on an official visit to Serbia between 29 and 31 October 2017.
- Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Ekaterina Zaharieva was on a working visit to Belgrade between 24 and 25 July 2017, in the context of her Western Balkan regional tour, with the aim of making preparations for Bulgaria's assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, to take place in the first half of 2018.
- President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić participated in a trilateral meeting with Prime Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Hellenic Republic, in Thessaloniki, on 13 July 2017.
- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met Ognian Gerdjikov, Prime Minister of Bulgaria's caretaker Government, in his capacity as envoy of the Serbian Prime Minister. The meeting took place in Bosilegrad, on 13 April 2017.
Apart from the aforesaid meetings, 2017 witnessed a number of working meetings held between the two countries' officials.
Visits and meetings in 2016:
- Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic participated in the trilateral meeting of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia, in Bourgas, on 13 September 2016;
- Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic paid an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria, 22-23 February 2016.
Visits and meetings in 2015:
- Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic participated in the trilateral meeting of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia, held on 24 October 2015 in Sofia.
- At the invitation of President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev paid a return visit to Serbia, on 12-13 March 2015.
- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, met on 13 March 2015 in Belgrade with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov, who was on the Bulgarian President's official delegation during his visit to the Republic of Serbia.
Economic relations:
Economic cooperation with Bulgaria mainly consists of trade in goods. In value terms, Bulgaria is one of the most important trading partners of Serbia.
The session of the Joint Serbia-Bulgaria Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Cooperation was held from 1 to 2 July 2015 in Belgrade.In 2017, trade in goods reached a record high level and amounted to EUR 1 billion (Serbian exports EUR 589 million, imports EUR 411 million). Between January and March 2018, exchange amounted to EUR 228.5 million (Serbian exports EUR 146.8 million, imports EUR 81.7 million).
The session of the Joint Committee for international carriage of passengers and goods by road took place on 19 and 20 March 2015 in Sofia.
