Visits and meetings in 2017

  • All Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Dragan Covic, Bakir Izetbegovic, Mladen Ivanic) visited Belgrade on 6 December 2017.
  • Trilateral meeting of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak and Minister of Foreign Affairs of R. Turkey Mevlut Çavuşoğlu was held in Belgrade on 6 December 2017.
  • Chairman of the BiH Presidency Dragan Covic visited Belgrade on 16 October 2017.
  • President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic was on a bilateral visit to Sarajevo, on 7-8 September 2017.
  • First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of R. Serbia Ivica Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak together attended the inauguration of the new Chancery of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Belgrade, on 18 July 2017.

  • Then Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic attended the commemoration of the 75th anniversary since the outset of the genocide committed against the Serbs, the Jews and the Roma in the concentration death camp of Jasenovac, in Donja Gradina, Republic of Srpska, on 19 August 2016.
  • Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak met First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic in Belgrade, on 26 July 2016, when he conveyed his request for the provision of consular protection for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil, which was accepted by the Serbian side.
  • Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic visited Sarajevo on 25 July 2016.
  • First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic headed the Serbian delegation to the CEI Ministerial Meeting in Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 16 June 2016.
  • Then President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic participated in the Brdo-Brioni Leaders' Meeting in Sarajevo, on 29 May 2016.
  • Then Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic visited Mostar, on 12 April 2016, and attended the ceremony to mark the opening of the Mostar Economic Fair.

  • Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak led the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the OSCE Ministerial Council, held on 3 and 4 December 2015.
  • Then Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic participated in the Investment and Development Conference in Srebrenica, held on 11 November 2015.
  • Joint session of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held on 4 November 2015 in Sarajevo.

Economic relations:

Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of Serbia's most important foreign trading partners and the trade between them has recorded a constant rise. In 2016, their total trade in goods amounted to EUR 1.5 billion, of which Serbian exports amounted to EUR 1.1 billion, and imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to EUR 406 million. In the period between January and October 2017 Serbian exports amounted to EUR 1 billion, while imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to EUR 424.9 million. Total trade between the two countries in this period increased by 14% in comparison to the same period of 2016. The Republic of Serbia is one of the largest investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with more than EUR 1 billion in investments.
