• DOGS, CATS AND FERRETS

For importing dogs, cats and ferrets, the following conditions must be met:
  1. that animal pets have been permanently identified in prescribed way;
  2. that animal pets are accompanied by a certificate issued by the competent authority of specific country, confirming that, in case of pet aged over three months, the pet has been vaccinated or revaccinated against rabies with registered inactivated vaccine containing minimum one antigen unit per dose (WHO standard) and preformed according to instruction of the vaccine manufacturer.
If the country you are coming from has a favorable epizootiological situation in regard to rabies, animal pets under three months old can be imported from these countries.

• OTHER ANIMALS:

­ INVERTEBRATES (with the exception of bees and crustaceans),
­ ORNAMENTAL TROPICAL FISH,
­ AMPHIBIANS,
­ BIRDS (with the exception of poultry),
­ REPTILES AND
­ MAMMALS (RODENTS AND DOMESTIC RABBITS)

For non-commercial movement of listed animals, it is necessary that the pets are accompanied by a certificate confirming that all veterinary-sanitary conditions/requirements for their non-commercial movement have been fulfilled.

Samples of veterinary certificates for dogs, cats, ferrets, birds and other pets:

Certificate for non-commercial movement of up to five dogs, cats or ferrets
Certificate for import or non-commercial movement of more than five dogs, cats or ferrets
Certificate for non-commercial movement of pets – birds and a Declaration
Certificate for non-commercial movement of other animals
