First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Serbia Thomas Schieb.

In the talks, both sides affirmed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany were very good and characterized by a developed cooperation in all areas. It was noted in particular that the high- and top-level dialogue was on a constant rise. The economic cooperation between the two countries was also pointed out as indicative of the high quality of their relations, with the trade in goods amounting to over EUR 4.5 billion in 2018.

The collocutors assessed that the cooperation carried out between the two countries was very good at the multilateral level as well. They expressed their belief that such cooperation would also continue in the next two years, during Germany's non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council.

Ambassador Schieb took the opportunity to deliver to Minister Dacic an invitation extended by the Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier to take part in the 5th Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue, to be held on 9-10 April 2019.
