Ivica Dacic and Mr. Estanislao ZawelsFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a courtesy call from the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Estanislao Zawels. It was emphasized in the conversation that Argentina was one of the key partners of the Republic of Serbia in the Latin America region and beyond, that the two countries were tied by years-long bonds of friendship and excellent relations, while sharing in common a commitment to the respect of international law.

Ambassador Zawels recalled the long history of relations and close views held by our countries on a number of issues, including the respect for the principle of territorial integrity. Reaffirming the political support of Argentina to the Republic of Serbia, he pointed out his intention to adopt an active approach and contribute to the promotion of cooperation in a number of areas, namely agriculture, energy, culture and others.

Conveying gratitude for the principled support of Argentina to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian side voiced interest to intensify the political dialogue with Argentina at all levels as well as to promote cooperation in all sectors, primarily in the economy. In this context, full support was pledged to the activities of the Argentinian Ambassador.
