Ivica Dacic and Antonio GuterresFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talks today with Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres concerning the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the importance of the role played by UNMIK in consolidating lasting peace, stability and security in the Province.

In this context, he reiterated that it was of great importance for Serbia that the topic of Kosovo and Metohija remained the focus of the United Nations, i.e. its Security Council.

Minister Dacic also informed his collocutor about the course of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

The UN Secretary-General reaffirmed the position of the United Nations, as defined through adherence to UNSC Resolution 1244, as well as, in this context, that the engagement of UNMIK in Kosovo and Metohija would continue.
