Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for Security Policy, had talks today with Mr James Appathurai, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs, who attended the Sixth NATO Week on his visit to Belgrade.
In the meeting they exchanged views on Serbia-NATO relations and took stock of the political dialogue and the past PfP cooperation, including activities to be undertaken, inter alia, in the context of the drafting of the new bi-annual cycle Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) being implemented with success since 2015, and other forms of practical partner cooperation in various areas within the NATO Partnership for Peace Programme. The meeting focused attention in particular on the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija and on the performance of the KFOR mandate in maintaining peace and stability in the Province and in protecting the Serb community and their historical, cultural and religious heritage sites. |
