Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Relations, Ambassador Aco Jovanovic, handed on 18 October on the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs exequatur for Mr. Dragan Markovic, Honorary Consul of the Hellenic Republic in the Republic of Serbia with a seat at Jagodina, admitting him to the exercise of his functions in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, with consular jurisdiction in the Pomoravlje, Rasina, Sumadija and Branicevo districts.

On the occasion both sides discussed the relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Hellenic Republic, which were assessed as good. The establishment of a Consulate of the Hellenic Republic in Jagodina, headed by an honorary consular officer will help to intensify and expand the cooperation between the two countries in all areas, primary in the economic cooperation, investment, tourism, education, etc. The beginning of the operation of the Greek Consulate in Jagodina will contribute to the improved quality of consular protection and cooperation between the two countries.
