First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, on the sidelines of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In a substantive and friendly conversation, the two Ministers exchanged views on the current developments at the international stage. The collocutors devoted special attention to the political and security situation in the Western Balkans and the Gulf regions.

Minister Dacic underlined the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and of intensifying the exchange of bilateral visits. He particularly pointed to the importance of enhancing economic cooperation.

Minister Al-Thani suggested that Serbian and Qatari companies establish direct communication through a Joint Committee.

The interlocutors agreed on the necessity of outlining a roadmap for the future development of the two countries' bilateral cooperation.
