Ivica dacic with Regina de DominicisFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic welcomed today the new representative of UNICEF in Serbia Regina de Dominicis, who took office on 23 August 2018.

In a cordial and open conversation, Minister Dacic commended the contribution of UNICEF office in Belgrade to the overall efforts to enhance the position of children and to promote the protection of the rights of the child in the Republic of Serbia. He noted the importance of UNICEF's engagement and the need for good cooperation between this important UN Fund and the competent institutions in Serbia to continue.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy assessed that UNICEF in Serbia had achieved significant results and that it had been recognized widely as the leading international agency in providing concrete assistance to and protecting the rights of the child.

Minister Dacic wished the new UNICEF representative successful cooperation with the competent institutions in the Republic of Serbia, offering his full personal support and that of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where necessary.
