Ivica Dacic with John BoltonDuring his two-day visit to the United States to attend the Ministerial conference dedicated to religious freedom and on the occasion of the ceremony marking the hundredth anniversary of flying the Serbian flag over the White House, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met with John Bolton, Assistant for National Security Affairs to U.S. President Donald Trump.

In the talks, Minister Dacic expressed the interest of the Republic of Serbia to further promote and upgrade bilateral relations with the U.S., especially taking into account the alliance between the two countries in the First and the Second World War.

Expressing his agreement with the Minister's assessment that the bilateral relations between Serbia and the U.S. need to be further promoted on all levels, National Security Advisor Bolton stressed in particular the readiness of the U.S. Administration for close cooperation with the Army and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia.

The Serbian Foreign Minister took this opportunity to stress the commitment of the Republic of Serbia, a guarantor of regional security and stability, to further strengthen them. In that context, he expressed Serbia's readiness to engage in open cooperation with the United States of America.
