First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić met in Belgrade today with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
Minister Szijjártó takes part in a trilateral meeting between the Republic of Serbia, Hungary and Bulgaria in the energy sector. The meeting between the two Ministers of Foreign Affairs confirmed the high level of bilateral relations between Serbia and Hungary. Both sides assessed that the overall cooperation between the two countries is being constantly enhanced, and that reaching energy stability and better infrastructural connectivity are some of the priorities for the upcoming period. Minister Szijjártó expressed his satisfaction with the status that Hungarian national minority has in Serbia. Both Ministers exchanged opinions on current regional and international topics, in particular on the effects that migration flows could have on the region. Following the meeting, Minister Dačić gave his Hungarian colleague a football jersey of the national team of Serbia. Minister Szijjártó thanked Minister Dačić for the gift and stressed that he would support the national team of Serbia at the upcoming Fifa World Cup in Russia. |
