Ivica Dacic with Ambassador Joanna WroneckaAhead of the UN Security Council meeting concerning the UN Secretary-General's Report on the Work of UNMIK, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a bilateral meeting with the President of the UN Security Council for the month of May, the Permanent Representative of Poland, Ambassador Joanna Wronecka.

Both sides assessed the bilateral relations as friendly and good, and affirmed their readiness to further enhance them. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic conveyed Serbia's objection to the initiative of some UNSC members to change the format and the dynamics of Security Council sessions on UNMIK. Minister Dacic underlined that the issue of Kosovo and Metohija was not resolved and that the situation on the ground indicated the need to continue the presence and engagement of UNMIK Mission without downsizing and changing of its mandate.

Minister Dacic confirmed Serbia's commitment to the process of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
