Bilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Azerbaijan held in Baku

BakuBilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan were held in Baku, on 17 and 18 April.

The Serbian delegation was headed by MFA Political Director Zoran Vujic, and the delegation comprised Ambassador of Serbia to Azerbaijan Nebojsa Rodic, First Counsellor Milica Tomic and Second Secretary Danica Veinovic.

Interlocutors included authorized representatives from the Ministry of Defence Industry, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The delegations discussed the current issues concerning the relations between the two countries. It was noted that the relations were developing in the spirit of the Declaration on Friendly Relations and the Strategic Partnership concluded between the two states.

It was unambiguously noted that further progress could be made in the fields of economy, trade, investment, which required signing of a strategic partnership action plan. Particular emphasis was laid on the need for harmonizing the document and its preparation for signature during the visit of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is expected in the period ahead.
