Consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus were held in Minsk, on 3 April 2018. The delegation of the Republic of Serbia was headed by Ambassador Aca Jovanovic, Acting Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs, while the delegation of the Republic of Belarus was headed by Evgeniy Sestakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the consultations, views were exchanged on mutual consular cooperation, visa policy and modernization of consular service operation, and possibilities were discussed for further improvement of the treaty/legal regulations in the consular affairs area. The two sides confirmed their readiness to extend consular assistance to each other in the event of crisis and emergencies.

The substantive consultations took place in the spirit of friendly relations, with both sides noting mutual readiness to further enhance consular cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Belarus.
