State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nemanja Stevanovic met today with the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania, headed by Ferit Hoxha, Director General for Political and Strategic Issues in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, who is on a visit to Belgrade to take part in the political consultations held between the two foreign ministries at the level of political directors.

On this occasion, a belief was expressed that the upward trend in the political relations and cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Albania would continue, as well as that the two states would continue and further intensify cooperation in the context of European integration, particularly taking into account that membership of the European Union was the arch strategic goal of both states.

In the talks, they noted that there was a significant, untapped potential for the promotion of cooperation in the economic field, and also that there was a mutual commitment to the intensification of cooperation at the regional level, in which respect they particularly stressed the importance of projects being realized in the framework of the Berlin Process.
