Dacic, Lavrov: “Further development of cooperation in all areas” |

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, who is on a visit to Moscow as a member of the delegation headed by President Aleksandar Vucic, met today with his colleague, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Russia assessed that the relations between the two countries were at a high level and that their cooperation was developing in all directions. Minister Dacic underlined that Serbia was strongly committed to the further development of its relations with Russia, based on strategic partnership and mutual readiness to deepen them in all areas. The two Ministers expressed their pleasure at the reached dynamic of meetings at the high and highest levels. The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked Russia for its strong and consistent support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia. He added that it was very important to Serbia to continue regular exchange of information with Russia, and coordinate activities concerning the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, in international organizations. Minister Dacic further stated that Serbia's attention, in the coming period, would be focused on strengthening its economic cooperation with Russia, in order to benefit from the facilities under the Free Trade Agreement. Ministers Dacic and Lavrov also discussed the commemoration of the 180th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Serbia and the Russian Federation, next year, and planned that Minister Lavrov visit Belgrade for the occasion. |
