Readiness to further strengthen Serbia-China comprehensive strategic partnership |

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Li Manchang, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China.
In the cordial talks, both sides confirmed readiness to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership existing between Serbia and China. They noted the continuity of the high- and top-level political dialogue, estimating that the rising trend recorded in all areas of cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and PR China demonstrated an all-time high in their bilateral relations. Minister Dacic conveyed that Serbia attached great importance to the development of comprehensive strategic partnership with China not only through bilateral channels of cooperation, but also the mechanism of Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (China-CEEC "16+1)", as an integral part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the successful mutual project cooperation carried out between the two countries, particularly in the infrastructure sector where Serbia was the leader among the Central and Eastern European countries according to the number of projects having been implemented and agreed. Furthermore, mutual readiness was reaffirmed for the further strengthening of the two countries' cooperation in the fields of culture, education, science and other areas of common interest. |
