Meeting Dacic - FuertesFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic invited today for talks the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Mr. Miguel Fuertes.

Minister Dacic thanked Spain for proving on countless occasions to be a true and genuine friend of Serbia, unflinchingly backing our country on matters of strategic importance for Serbia.

Minister Dacic underlined that Serbia stood firmly by Spain, extending its unreserved support when it comes to the defence and protection of this country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, constitutional order as well as the respect of the democratically adopted Constitution of the Kingdom of Spain. Serbia would not accept any unilateral acts made by Catalonia. Dialogue was the only proper way forward.

Ambassador Fuertes thanked Minister Dacic for affirming once again, in the spirit of friendly relations existing between the two countries, the unequivocal support of Serbia to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Spain, which was a position they highly valued.

Ambassador Fuertes conveyed his gratitude for Serbia's position and in particular for the messages addressed by President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin.
