First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic attended in New York a working breakfast with the Foreign Ministers of the Western Balkan countries and EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, organized by the Regional Cooperation Council.
Besides the usual topics that featured on the agenda of the meeting, they also discussed a proposal to have the seat of the Transport Community located in Serbia. Yesterday Minister Dacic had bilateral meetings with OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger and the Foreign Minister of Sao Tome and Principe. Minister Dacic also briefly met with Australia's Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop. Ministers Dacic and Bishop talked about her recent visit to Serbia, which took place last July. The Foreign Ministers of Serbia and Australia agreed on, and underscored the importance of promoting political dialogue at all levels, including the fostering of traditionally good and friendly relations and developing cooperation in the areas of common interest. |
