Good bilateral relations between Serbia and UK and readiness to intensify cooperation |

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Denis Keefe, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Serbia.
It was mutually assessed that the bilateral relations between the two countries were good, and that there was readiness and an interest to continue further cooperation, especially in the economic sector. The sides particularly underlined the importance of continuing the exchange of high-level visits. The interlocutors noted that the upcoming Belgrade visit of Sir Simon McDonald, Permanent Under Secretary for the Foreign Office, from 11 – 12 September 2017, and the visit to be made by the UK Parliament's House of Lords delegation, from 26 – 28 September 2017, will be additionally contributive to the enhancement of the dialogue between the two countries. The two sides highlighted the importance of the 180th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations, marked by a number of events in both countries. Moreover, today's meeting expressed satisfaction with the fact that the United Kingdom would play host to the 2018 Western Balkans Summit. In the talks, the collocutors also exchanged their views about the most topical developments on the global political stage and in the WB region. |
