aca jovanovic_1372017Acting Assistant Minister of Consular Affairs Aca Jovanovic presented, on 13 July 2017, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, the exequatur to the newly-appointed Romanian Consul General with a seat in Vrsac, Mr. Gheorghe Dinu.

On the occasion, talks were held on the bilateral relations between the two countries, which were assessed as very good, without outstanding issues. Special emphasis was laid on Romania's support of Serbia on its European integration path, and the Romanian position on non-recognition of the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo. Plans were put forward towards the joint use of EU funds for projects of cross-border cooperation, while the status of minority communities in both countries was commended.
