First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia Axel Dittmann.

In the meeting, they exchanged views on the policy pursued by the newly-appointed Government of the Republic of Serbia and further promotion of bilateral relations between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Serbia.

In the talks, they jointly noted that the relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Federal Republic of Germany were good, characterized by cooperation in all fields, a high-level dialogue and a trend of their constant promotion.

Minister Dacic and Ambassador Dittmann also discussed the results of the Western Balkans Summit held in Trieste on 12 July, including promotion of regional cooperation and realization of projects carried out with the support of EU partners. In this context, Ambassador Dittmann stressed that the perspective of the Republic of Serbia's EU membership is a realistic one and welcomed.
