Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic welcomed this morning Mr. Mikhail Janelidze, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Minister Dacic wished a warm welcome to the Georgian Foreign Minister, thanking him for attending the formal reception on the occasion of the assumption of duties by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

The two Ministers discussed European integration, promotion of political relations and the intensification of cooperation in trade and tourism.

In the context of bilateral relations, the Ministers jointly estimated that Serbia and Georgia were friendly countries, noting mutual good will for the development of relations between the two peoples as well as for a more active cooperation in all fields.

The two interlocutors noted that there were many opportunities for the strengthening of Serbia-Georgia bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economy, and that entrepreneurs from both countries should be encouraged in this context.
