An exhibition "Saint Sava of Serbia", originally mounted by the Historical Museum of Serbia, was inaugurated at the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki. The exhibition familiarized the audiences with the life and work of St. Sava, and his importance for the entire history of the Serbian church and state.

The exhibition, co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, the Historical Museum of Serbia and the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki, was opened by Mr. Sinisa Pavic, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Thessaloniki, Ms. Dusica Bojic PhD, Director of the Historical Museum of Serbia, and Tsilipakou Agathoniki PhD, Director of the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki.

They also touched on St. Sava's contribution to the good relations between the Serbian and Greek peoples, and stressed that Saint Sava's influence was not only present in the territory of modern-day Serbia, but also in the territories of neighboring states.

The visitors showed great interest in St. Sava's life and work, especially for his stay and activities in the territory of Thessaloniki and that of the Byzantine Empire as a whole.

The exhibition opened on 8 June and will be on view until 13 September 2017.
