Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic addressed a letter of condolences to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva following the loss of lives in the fire which broke out in central Portugal.
"I was deeply saddened by the news about the large number of victims and injured in the fire in Pedrógão Grande area, central Portugal. I take this opportunity to convey to you and the people of Portugal, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, the expressions of deepest condolences and most sincere sympathy with the families who lost their loved ones, wishing a quick and successful recovery to the injured. Serbia stands ready to offer support and assistance within the limits of its capacities. Our country is small, yet it respects and appreciates the friendship of the people of Portugal", says the condolence letter from Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic. |
