Intensification of political dialogue, economy and trade cooperation between Serbia and Oman |

Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for bilateral cooperation Ambassador Goran Aleksic, in his capacity as Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia, delivered to Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi the letter from President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to His Majesty Qaboos Bin Said, the Sultan of Oman.
In the talks, they discussed issues concerning bilateral relations and cooperation, noting a high convergence of views at international level. The Omani side confirmed its commitment to the respect of principles and norms of international law and the UN Charter. The interlocutors agreed on the necessity to intensify the political dialogue as well as cooperation in economy and trade, in the coming period. The Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Goran Aleksic in Muscat also met with Mr. Mulham Al Jarf, CEO of Oman's State General Reserve Fund and discussed in their talks the prospect of economic cooperation between the two countries. Mr. Mulham Al Jarf showed particular interest in the investment climate in the Republic of Serbia, expressing particular interest of Oman for cooperation in the fields of IT and health industries, agriculture and food production. Ambassador Aleksic conveyed to the Fund's CEO the invitation by Minister Ivica Dacic to visit Serbia in order to consider concrete modalities of cooperation with our country, which Mr. Mulham Al Jarf gladly accepted. |
