Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic addressed a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on the occasion of Russia Day, the National Day of his country.

"On the occasion of Russia Day, the National Day of the Russian Federation, I extend to you, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, cordial congratulations and best wishes for the further progress of brotherly Russia and for the prosperity of all its people.

Our recent meeting in Istanbul, on 22 May 2017, confirmed once again the closeness of our positions and views concerning major bilateral issues and current international topics. I am confident that the partner relations between our two countries, based on centuries-long friendship and close ties existing between our peoples, will continue to develop on an ascending line.
