Bratislava: Presentation of the Phototypic Edition of the Miroslav Gospel |

Under the auspices and with the logistical support of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Slovakia, a phototypic edition of the Miroslav Gospel, the oldest document written in the standard Serbian language, and in the Cyrillic script, was presented on the premises of the Polish Institute in Bratislava. A film "In the beginning, there was a word" was screened on the occasion. The "Slovo" association of Novi Sad and the Serbian Association in Slovakia participated in this event's organization.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia – the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, and the Serbian Association in Slovakia helped the project's implementation financially. Mr. Radmilo Mulic, a bookseller from Novi Sad and promoter of the project, spoke at the presentation about the eight centuries-long history of the Miroslav Gospel. Members of the academia in Bratislava, representatives of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and Serbian citizens working in Slovakia attended this cultural event. |
