Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic addressed a letter of condolences to the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Eshaq Jahangiri, following the terrorist attack on the country's Parliament and the attack on the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini.
"We received with great sadness and disbelief the news of terror attacks against your country's Parliament building as well as against the Mausoleum of the spiritual leader of your people. Allow me to, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, convey to you most sincere condolences over the loss of innocent lives. May I take this opportunity to express my strongest condemnation of these and all other terrorist attacks solely aimed at taking human life, causing chaos and dealing a blow to the civilizational values of the world today. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, I wish to express our unreserved readiness to make our maximum contribution - in every possible way, in cooperation with you and all those who share our condemnation of such barbarous acts – in order to stamp out this biggest evil of our times", says the condolence letter by Minister Dacic. |
