Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for bilateral cooperation Ambassador Goran Aleksic, acting in his capacity as Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, on 4 June in Cairo, delivered to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shoukry, a letter from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The Egyptian Minister thanked for the letter delivered and expressed best wishes to President Aleksandar Vucic for success in his future endeavours.

In cordial and friendly talks they considered issues of mutual interest related to cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels. On this occasion, the officials confirmed the joint position on the necessity to further strengthen and deepen the historical friendship between the two countries, marking the 110th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2018.

In the talks, the need for continuing dialogue at high and top levels was underlined and new activities in this context announced.
