Acting Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, participated at the 13th Annual NATO Conferenceon Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD) Arms Control, Disarmamentand Non-Proliferation, held in Helsinki, from 28-30 May 2017.
During the Conference, representatives of NATO Member States and Partner countries exchanged views and presented their experiences in the domain of one of the biggest current security threats. Ambassador Filipovic participated, as one of the panellists, in the panel discussion on "Contribution of NATO and other international organizations in arms control, weapons of mass destruction, disarmament and non-proliferation", where he spoke about the engagement of the Republic of Serbia in this area, underlining the importance of regional cooperation in the preservation of peace and security in the Western Balkans, as well as in facing security challenges. |
