First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today Ms.Moushira Khattab, a candidate nominated by Egypt for the post of Director-General of UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

The meeting was an opportunity to lay out to the candidate for the UNESCO Director-General Serbia's priorities in the cooperation with this Organization, to point to our active work within the UNESCO Executive Board of which Serbia is a member in 2015 – 2019, and in particular to highlight our active efforts aimed at preventing UNESCO from being politicized.

Ms. Moushira Khattab presented the priorities that constituted the basis of her programme, should she be elected to head this important Organization.
