First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Director-General of the Cultural Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Lee Eun-yong.

At today's meeting, the officials discussed the promotion of bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Korea, as well as cooperation in the framework of international organizations, particularly focusing on UNESCO.

The Korean delegation, headed by Mr. Lee Eun-yong, also participated in the first meeting between the delegations of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Korea on cooperation in the fields of culture, education, youth and sport. Holding of the meeting was initiated by the Korean side.

The meeting was the opportunity to discuss forms of cooperation under the existing Agreement on the above areas, as well as to agree on drafting a programme of cooperation in the fields of culture, education, youth and sport for the period 2018-2021. The programme would also cover the year 2019 which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the marking of which in an appropriate manner was among the topics discussed in the meeting between the two delegations.
